I suspect you have little clue picture how wheat is traded today ... I don't know many traders who are busting UN sanctions in today's markets.
AWB has NO control over wheat now. For the last 6 months AWB has essentially been out of the cash market while farmers like me forward contract their wheat to marketers that post the best price, eg ABB, Glencore, Graincorp, the list goes on. Pools are going to be costly options in the future now grain handling and storage costs are surging to unfamiliar levels. Cash is king!
Its only asset in Landmark ... $500mill.
AWB is a dog stock when you consider the agricultural peers it has now to compete with on a level footing ie ABB, GNC, FCL, Glencore, Co-operative Bulk Handling, Mitsubishi etc
