Budgie,
Retiring at the ATO - 'Old Pitstop' of 60 is still 20 + years away for me.
Once Upon a Time .....
- Retirement and wealth seemed such an important goal to me - but like many of these conquests - IMO, it's the intellectual anticipation and self-expectation that is the thrill of the Roller Coaster Ride..
Remember, upon retirement -
..... There's nobody to play with at home, 'cause the happening is at work ;
- working as a community, holiday fun, interacting with others, having a laugh about all aspects of life and the way we live it, as a day to day thang (sic).
Perhaps too, its realizing the commitment to help others less fortunate along our common journey that is - in the end, more fulfilling.
Dont get me wrong, I'm no saint.
I enjoy having money, living life in the fast lane, being a larrikin, giving cheek &
- trying to manoeuvre through the traffic jams of life as best i can, giving a leg up to those who most need it, and always :
- just trying to remember what I've learnt.
The journeys of QGC,MAE,KMN, etc etc..
- and travelling with interesting cohorts (the Gasman, the Scareburra and the Lion2) is like following the Yellow Brick Road....
Clear Creek mae be over the Rainbow
......but there's no place like Home.
So Boys,
It's Tops down - also, in the convertible.
- Tips to the Wind,
Accumulate the currency,
Share it 'round
& give some 'tude, dudes .
see you all at the party
