I've switched off practically every feedback switch I can find in my software but yet my traffic is more than it should be. I've kept a full record of all packets to and from my computer but haven't as yet done a detailed analysis of the traffic and it's a bit of a learning curve for me as well. One site that seems to feature a lot is Akamai.net which I think is used for product updates and "things" from what I can work out. (any further info appreciated). Haven't noted any Russian, isis or ... access
Anyone investigated this and can help? facebook, amazon, yahoo, google and a few others most of which I have nothing or little to do with seem to be in there as well.
