Things look dire to me.

I get the feeling that cash sitting on the sidelines is paying for increases in rent, petrol, mortgages, groceries... everything.

And things don't appear to be improving - after a period of speculative madness.

The interest rate headache has only just begun and it's already hitting despite being extremely low from historical standards.

I hate to use the trite saying, this time is different. But, this has the hallmarks of a very difficult 5-10 years. And we can all thank Mr Philip Lowe - the most incompetent, reckless f... in the history of the RBA.

He did a great job keeping the housing bubble alive though...
