Let's look logically at the chorus of Trump backers on these threads: (a) Trump is American (b) Trump's policy is to "Put America First" (c) Conclusion: By backing Trump we too are putting America First and ,by default, that's putting Aus 2nd.
Trump's major trade issue is to balance trade with China which was running at a US trade deficit of $400 billion/year
Up the end of 2019 we were running an annual Trade Surplus (not deficit) with China so do we too want to balance our trade with China...huh?
Keep in mind that the most tangible Trump beef with China is and has been the major Trade deficit with China and that his significant pieces of legislation has been to balance that trade , not to stop it!
