The thing is, if I had sold at 60c I would lose more than 50% in tax.

Now as I am in with an ave price of about 20c this would kind of mean that it would be the same as selling at 40c without paying tax.

If in Sep this yr I sell at 60c, it would be the same as selling at 50c as I would only pay tax on 50% of my gains (I'm sure I don't need to explain this to you!)

FWIW, I'm obviously hoping that the SP is a lot more than 60c at the time of my 1st anniversary of holding SDL shares which gives me an even better position considering tax. Not that I'm intending on selling this decade anyway!! lol

It was never my intention to cause this backlash on you- I was simply using your post as an example of one that can easily influence the newbie to sell out and then regret it.
