Moosey, apart from her tertiary and military qualifications, and employment expertise in all things aviation, especially UAVs, there are a few other things that interest me about Samara Jolley's appointment:
1. It came at a time when the company was announcing the imminent success of the rights issue, including pre-commitments from three substantial shareholders.
2. She has an undoubted Australian focus, including Duntroon, but more specifically SYPAQ.
3. It came at almost exactly the same time (late July), as MST conducted a live firing of 3GL for Senior Australian Defence Force Personnel
4. She has significant experience in major Defence capital acquisition.
5. Why would someone of Samara Jolley's ability leave BAE/SYPAQ join MST if there was no future?
6. She wouldn't.
7. Finally, from the SYPAQ website:

"Since 1992 SYPAQ has developed a particularly close working relationship with the Australian Department of Defence, and Defence Industry.
"SYPAQ is a Defence Materiel Organisation Support Services Panel Major Service Provider. SYPAQ is also a Defence Capability Support Services Standing Offer Panelist. This intimate understanding of Defence and Defence Industry requirements has resulted in numerous collaborative projects and highly sucessful outcomes.
"SYPAQ has contributed to more than 80 projects for the Department of Defence as well as large Defence Industry organisations including Thales, Raytheon, Tenix, BOEING, Australain Aerospace, SAAB and RLM."
Conclusion: There's more going on here than meets the eye.
