I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theory, based around "the spooks can drive the price of MST into the ground and then gather up the bones afterwards", when, right now, for about $60m or maybe $100m, you could snap up the whole show, rather than wait around and potentially see your competitor get the spoils.

Back in 2009, and after the Assfast fiasco, MST was on the brink. Then a couple of people stepped up to hold us up, including AWD and Alan Waters. The directors, including TOD, lent the company money at this time. Those who criticise the directors either don't know or have forgotten this fact. I am not saying that they are perfect (see: Assfast fiasco as an example), but you wouldn't see me put my hand up for that job.

Now, if you were a spook, what would you do to acquire MST cheaply? Well, if you acquired all of the Conv notes, you could have half the company. But you'd have to get Harmony, PNG Ports and AWD in on the deal. Maybe come in and offer 2c for the shares straight up, but if you do that, I think a lot of the sellers would back away and re-evaluate. Maybe you'd end up having to pay 5c, but that would still only make MST worth $250m, a bargain, if your a big guy who can spend the $50m-$100m (my guess) to get all of the really cool tech to market. You could buy up the unlisted options and no-one would know, except the sellers. But that news would have to drift out into the market.

Seems to me that anyone looking to take over the company would have to talk to Harmony, PNG Ports and AWD at least. My read on the holdings over the last few months is Harmony (unchanged), PNG Ports (Unchanged), AWD (Huge increase, from rights issue?). But the price has not increased.......I pray for a decent sale of the tech, because I think that's all that will help (or save) us.

So what if we do get a decent sale? Will there be a lot of people who come out and take a few cents, say 2c, just as MST shows the potential we've waited for and keep the price subdued or will shareholders hang on and look for all of the promise that MST has? I won't be selling unless I can get the sort of price that I deserve for hanging on and for participating in the rights issue.
