Wrong, the bigger the hose pipe hole, the less pressure it directs for a given flow of water. The sales funnel of MasterCard and PayPal has such a large hole of retailers vs customers, that it can't create much buying pressure to help the merchant. the last time i did the maths afterpay had 300% more customers per retailer on the platform vs PayPal. that's 3 x the buying pressure. There's still no competition to Afterpay where it matters, driving customers to the business by virtue of the bnpl provider. The competition are simply dumb payment options that didn't drive the customer to the checkout but happened to be sitting there .. huge difference but anyone who hasn't followed this market for years won't get it...
