This is just something an Ears Nose and Throat Specialist told me a couple of decades ago................ he approached an Alternative Medicines Manufacturer to see if they could produce a range of products so that he could give his and other Doctor’s patient’s an alternative to Pharmaceutical Drugs.
His one stipulation was that the dosage in the products had to meet pharmaceutical standards for accurate dosage.
He said that the Alternate Medicines Manufacturer came back to him with a plan but the killer was that they would need to charge 800% more to meet the dosage accuracy standard that he required.
He went on to say that the thing with all Alternative Medicines/Treatments is that you will not know exactly what dosage you are getting, either under or over.
I guess if your body is reacting it’s telling you something.
I threw out some Magnesium supplements (not my normal brand) that I bought in South Africa a few years back as they really didn’t agree with me.
Self monitoring your own bodily variations and tolerances is fairly important with alternative medicines and supplements.
