    yep - one example of atrocious built environment realities in 'developed' societies

    the reality is that our societies are absolutely ripe for total catastrophe from the 'wrong' virus if ever one comes

    all of it - supplies, - ie. how we get our food etc.. Our buildings, just really basic things - like we have public toilets with doors - why? There's no need for doors.

    And it's worse - public dunny doors where the exit doors open inwards - meaning that even in the event of someone 'actually' washing their hands - then, they have to grab the door handle to exit ------

    it's like architects and builders have absolutely no idea of sanitary procedures - yet, they are charged with building dunnies and wash basins.

    Then, there's air supply. Food storage, handling, the list is long.

    I found it surprising that we had such a long time between the flu pandemic of WW1 and this Covid pandemic - really, after developing things like international instant travel and supermarkets - we've been astonishingly lucky.
