Hi Muzza22, Im sure he meant he has cremated the word WorkChoices. He said he would not change the Labor legislation in his first term but refused to kill it off after that. Not much conviction therefore and cant be trusted. He and others have said they may use Ministerial discretion to change things within the existing laws. Much more scrutiny of Abbotts commitment is needed to establish whether he intends to touch penalty rates etc. I am sure the media will continue to hone in on this. It is not a dead issue because Abbott refused to lay it to rest beyond 3 years. This to me indicates he still believes in it and he will if true to his word try and use existing ministerial powers to achieve changes within the current laws. Thats the position as I understand it..
