I think a huge influence on Police culture is Frustration and Impatience. The next job is already waiting to be attended. It might be speculation BUT this current situation could have manifested through repetition. Attending the same premises day in day out for the same result. F & I. Other situations involve the Courts; same repeat result for recidivist offenders. F & I.

The same scenario seems apparent in the elderly lady's death in NSW. Repeat attendances at premises for the same incidents. F & I. We see what appear to be overreaction by Police to situations all the time on the TV. It may be a training issue but I believe there is an inherent intolerance in the make-up of many in positions of authority. The prison system is no different and also evident in the military to a lesser extent.

It cannot be condoned but MUST be managed. It involves more than the individual that is for sure.
