like most things in today's world, things move fast, are flashy and made to look easy...
the share market is the same, how it has become fashionable, how there are so many views and opinions around, how there are so many methods of trading using technology based in technical analysis, etc,...
however, whilst being a relative newbie and considering myself a person of "truth", one old fashioned maxim holds and has been tried and tested and is never abandoned by the reknowned professionals such as Warren Buffet ,etc,..
that maximum is fundamental analysis and one must use it as gospel truth...
the "market" is irrational. when one holds fundamentals as gospel truth, this a mirror for wisdom and decision making..
look at BKN..it was trading on a PE ratio of 26....
look up my posts on BKN and see how I called BUY at $8 to $8.50 but said I would place my order at $7.95, which filled today..
all of this is fundamental analysis...old fashioned PE ratios...
today's activity, in lieu of any negative news, on AFG was irrational...
people who pursue "truth" never follow the crowd or the world...
the market is the same...it is truth that will support one's activities and not the market...
all decisions must made using fundamental analysis...
