I remember that day at the crocodile farm. He swam across the water like a skipping stone, porpoising over numerous crocs swimming towards him, shot up the bank like a beached jet boat, rocketed over gaping mouths and went through the rest of them untouched like a top rugby international, and finally jumped back into a pool with the farm's one giant croc, which had to be kept separate because he ate everything.
When we shouted "what are you doing?", he shouted back "there's only one croc in here and I have to wash my pants".
