Apt's risk team is poached from the world class PayPal/Uber gang. APT paid big bucks for them and it showed. I worked with them directly，they used a combination of 3rd party tools，sophisticated machine learning and domain knowledge to tackle the problem. Within a year of hiring them the loss rate almost halved.
Zips risk team mostly came from Australian banks and is just average.
