Usually with auto manufacturers such as Toyota, suppliers are required to have ISO 9001 to work with the manufacturer in product development teams. ISO 9002 is usually fine for just a contract supplier but ISO 9001 being a higher standard is usually preferred because of ongoing product changes/development.
