Yes, agreed. I've assumed all sold on my metrics as it avoids some of the confrontational posts :-) I also added a column so that I can out in a guesstimate of % sold for each element - some may be sold 100%, and other a little less.
The elephant in the room is the price of smuggled REE. One assume that they don't pay Tax.
Even allowing for a 25% mark up to cover tax (this may or may not be enough) the latest in China prices from http://www.metal.com/metals/rare-earth/prices
Are a problem - the Your Price column are the current in China prices + 25%. Interestingly some of the higher value REEs are above the FOB price so my across the board 25% may be in excess of reality. The smuggled REE is probably nearer this price less 25% (debatable for sure).
Anyway an interesting academic exercise for those interested in the price differential. One to watch for if China reduces the official taxes on REE, or smuggling rates continue.
