I was buying Coles brand whole peeled tomatos, their canned kidney beans and other canned pulses until I read the label...it was all fully imported from Italy.
I now buy local canned product and pay the extra...instead of being a skinflint.

Most manufacturers admit to mixing imported and local product in their products. It aint new.

25 years ago I was involved in transporting Berri fruit juices from the factory at Balcatta in WA to distribution warehouses. We would often pick up dozens of 205 litre drums of frozen orange juice imported from Brazil for the Berri factory to mix with local produce.

Boatboy I do look at packaging, I don't have a problem with produce from Italy. But stuff from china and asia I avoid.

As for orange juice I only buy Nudie, 100% Australian oranges with no additives.
