QF made record profits last time oil was at record prices. When oil prices are high other commodity prices are higher which means stronger domestic demand. As QF becomes a more diversified business their earnings will also become less cyclical.
A lot of market darlings have been sold off since August so I would view the price falls as a healthy readjustment. International airlines are also slowing and/or cutting capacity to/from Australia which should help its international arm in the next year or two.
I will be a buyer again if it falls below $5.
