I listened to a deposition to the US court where Mark Korda gave his side of the story.
Unfortunately he really based his assessment on all of the BS that was generated previously.
The fact that numerous previous financiers had been sucked in by all of the fluff was really why they jumped in. It must have looked like a bargain to them if everything stacked up.... Unfortunately we know the whole thing was flying the legal edge on so many fronts.
