Yes you do have the right to be a yobo. Yes you do have free speech. The test is do you want your four year old to copy you. Do you want that sort of language on the ABC where it will be watched by your wife and your children. Do you really want it to be common language taught in schools. Give yourself the real test. This is not about religion or about free speech. It is all about what are the limits to common decency. Last nights ABC program crossed the boundary of common decency. Swear all you like but b prepared to be judged as a yobo. I doubt anyone judges me one way or the other because I don't colour my language. I doubt they notice but they will notice anyone who cant put together a sentence without the use of that sort of wording.
