The other point to make is the banks really reflect the underlying economy.
I believe australia is well placed in the longer term economically. We have what asia and china wants with a growing population. Asia wants our environment, food, resources, education, governance. We need a govt to facilitate the economy through productivity gains and fiscal responsibility. We need to invest in our future with infrastructure rather than housing speculation. Anyway in the longer term i believe in the austalian economy and therefore i believe in investing in the banking sector.
