    Sorry but Index funds can be managed by a trained monkey. That's the whole point of the index fund. You follow the index and you calculate how many shares will be needed to match the index. The reason the Russell publishes early is to protect the index funds and the individual stocks from being manipulated by shorters or hedgefund buyers (in the case of being added to a fund). If you think that Index funds would have been out by now, then you wouldn't be following the index. Its not an actively managed portfolio. What would have happened to the fund say god forbid right before the reconstitution that Unilife made some monumental announcement that kept them on the Index. That's why Russell publishes this info. Do you not recall the company announcing its inclusion on the Index way back when? All the back in 2o10 they announced it. Suddenly quiet now.
