Until the actual details of patient withdrawals are revealed it's just speculation as to whether it was a result of drug toxicity, or other reasons. Once again it comes down to the significance of the statistics between the test group and the control group. It is also worth noting that the 400mg dosage formulated in the higher bio-available capsule package could be part of the problem. 400mg is a large dosage compared to the 100mg + 25mg combo used in the recent Gilead trials using Sovaldi + GS-5816. It is entirely possible that a 200mg BIT-225 dosage would eradicate possible adverse effects while maintaining the positive. Drug dosage is notoriously difficult to accurately determine, and the 400mg level was estimated using in-vitro studies and may be too high for in-vivo.
