re: bad press..speed cameras lie.. It has been reported that in any work or play environment a human being will make 4 mistakes in every hundred. (Typists are an obvious example). That equates to 4%.

You do 63kph in a 60 zone thats a 5% error rate , slightly outside normal human behaviour.

The government are revenue raising and trying to save lives.
What I do not agree with, is they actually budget for the revenue based on normal human behavior, so they know they're on a winner.

By all means penalise (heavily) the people that go 10 kph + over the limit, not the people who are normally traffic conscious and get pinged for going 3k over down a 45 degree hill.
