I know a few people have said CE delaying the rig is “cutting his nose off to spite his face and it won’t happen”… my question is why is this rig going to be 2 months+ late? (I know we’ve had some meagre explanation from CE but it doesn’t smell right)
Remember!.. we were supposed to spud in early December! (I raised this point in mid November) but CE proceeding with this/these drilling campaigns RIGHT NOW is counter productive to his impending lowball offer for NWE.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too Chris!
The cost of delaying an onshore rig is a fraction of the cost of securing NWE cheaply, if, the numbers being offered up here are somewhat close to what we have in -ground. MIN holders aren’t going to give a toss about a delayed drilling programme if it means billion/s in revenue.
