    This was just picked up by a poster on SS:

    The final directors notice when Melrose left on 23/8/06 showed that he still had 26mil shares.

    According to the shareholding information annual report which was correct at 31/8/06, his holding had been sold down to 14mil shares maximum.

    That is, 12 mil shares have changed hands in those 5 trading days. Yet the total volume traded on those days is only 650k. How is this possible? There was no speical portfolio sale because no other holder has those 12 mil shares.

    Already there is the question why has there been no notice of change in substantial holding.

    Now there is a question when exactly were these shares sold? If they were sold prior to his leaving then there should be a change of directors holding notice.

    This information is critical for market participants in their decision to buy or sell.
