Adultery requires the payment of a fine by both parties & doubles the next time.
In the Baháʼí Faith, there are financial penalties, specifically fines, for certain offenses, most notably adultery.
These fines are to be paid to the Universal House of Justice. Beyond financial penalties, the faith emphasizes individual responsibility and the importance of personal reflection and repentance.
    Fines for Adultery:
    • Baháʼu'lláh in the Kitáb-i-Aqdas (the Most Holy Book) prescribes a fine of nine mithqals of gold for both adulterers and adulteresses.
    • This fine is doubled if the offense is repeated.
