For EQN, the real issue is soverign risk.
I am sure that most large mining houses have run their ruler over EQN, but they have all come to the same conclusion. The risk of buying in Africa is much higher than most other places in the world (barring the Middle East) and so when a risk rating of the NPV occurs, it does not meet their returns.
I am happy to be proved wrong, but I would not say that it is a T/O certainty
