I've never argued there wont be a deal by Monday. But I am arguing there shouldn't be one - not if the US Government listened to its citizens - and not if the US Government wants to do the right thing. Most of the Congress are economically ignorant and take their cues from highly conflicted advisors.

I'm sure plenty here will be happy to cheer yet another nail in the coffin of democracy as long as it makes for a green day. Go bulls! Whatever.
