Mike Baird demonstrated to the good people of NSW what he has in mind for their future. He placed his faith in voters and has been rewarded by them. He deserves all the praise that's coming his way but must remember that he is governing for the people of NSW and not for narrow sectional interests such as mining companies or the BCA.
In stark contrast, the ALP has again been thrashed in NSW and can take no consolation whatsoever from this result.
The NSW Branch of the ALP has not demonstrated that it yet deserves the trust of NSW voters and will remain in the political wilderness for at least a decade more unless either it makes game changing reforms or the LNP does a Campbell Newman.
