After a 43% drop that is a big call for a company making profit. Comparing this to Slater & Gordon by others is surely a little silly. Off memory did SGH not report a 900m loss.

Personally if the SP holds reasonably steady for the next few days those that are short may get a bit nervous and close their positions. Why does everyone think shorts have nerves of steel and LTH don't.

Shorters need to pay interest to short, whereas not all longs are under the same pressure to sell.
