Agreed, what we say today was a positive shift in sentiment. We've had Asian markets finish the day in positive territory. As I write this, both the FTSE & DAX are +1.5%

As usual tomorrow's ASX will take it's lead from the performance of American equities overnight.

So nothing fundamentally changed today in world or local economics. Today's Chinese GDP figures while soft, were close to expected. Investors fears have been eased & with the ASX200 below 5000 & that look attractive to buyers.

Sentiment is a tricky beast however & it wouldn't take much to have today's buyers become tomorrow's sellers.
