Councillors shared concerns residents

During the session on 29 April 2016 Trzebinia City Council adopted a resolution on the planned construction of the mine "Mariola 1" and exploitation of coal from the deposit "Siersza 2".
The resolution was prepared by the Law Commission and Environmental Protection of the City Council Trzebinia chaired by councilorTadeusz Adamczak . In favor of the document unanimously voted all councilors present at the session.
The resolution was addressed to the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Katowice, which since November 2015 conducts administrative proceedings on issuing the environmental decision for the aforementioned mining investment.
Below we quote the content of the resolution.
"City Council Trzebinia expresses its resolute protest against the planned construction of the mine KWK Mariola 1 and use coal from the deposit" Siersza 2 "by the investor Carbon Investment sp. Z oo Jaworzno.
City Council Trzebinia shares the concerns and objections Residents Trzebinia about the impact of the operation on the environment. Fears of residents causes especially the fact that mining is to be held by pillar-chamber, which will result in the destruction of buildings, roads and the emergence of cracks and troughs with water and subsidence of up to a few meters.
The operation may be substantially affected the water regime in the area of housing: Siersza, Wodna, Gaj Zacisze, Krze, Gaj. The concerns and objections expressed the inhabitants of these settlements, worrying about their farms, possessions and all public space.
With this in mind City Council Trzebinia believes that the exploitation of coal will have a negative impact on the living conditions of the local community and the harmful impact on the environment. "
Adopted by the City Council Trzebinia resolution is an expression of solidarity with those councilors Trzebinia residents, who fear the underground coal mining under their houses and other real estate and do not produce any legal consequences for the community.
Adoption of the document by the councilors does not mean that the planned investment does not rise if investors fail to get environmental approval and a license for coal mining.
