For those who have just seen Balamara's latest piece of propaganda on their Facebook page.
Really, suggesting zero growth in the "other" category of fuels for Polish energy generation by 2030 is well, .... typical I suppose....

And now for a dose of reality from the Polish Governments own projections......
From an old post of mine dated 12/08/2015: Post #:15790575
Poland – A forecast of demand for fuels and energy until 2030 (ARE, 2011)
Poland’s current Energy Policy is called the “Energy Policy of Poland until 2030”, and appendix 2 to that document, “Projection of demand for fuels and energy until 2030” is of particular relevance to investors in Polish coal mine companies.
The above documents were updated by a study outsourced by the Polish Ministry of Economy to the company “Agencja Rynku Energii Spółka Akcyjna” (ARE S.A.) or in English, Energy Market Agency SA. This update to the current Polish Energy Policy was published in 2011, and is the most current publically available document that covers projections regarding demand for fuel in the Polish energy market out to 2030. Unfortunately it’s all in Polish, but Google Translate can be of great assistance in that regard.
The Polish Government is currently working on “Polish Energy Policy Until 2050” but that is still at the draft stage.
The two most relevant base case graphs in the ARE S.A. 2011 update noted above are shown below. Amongst many other things, the document also goes through various different scenarios with respect to net electricity production by fuel type until 2030. I’ve translated the titles of the various key graphs and they are outlined below by their Fig. number in the order that they appear in the ARE document.
WRT the larger graph, please note that colour and position of hard coal and lignite (brown coal) doesn’t change through the following series of graphs i.e. they remain the bottom two fuel types in the graphs.
i.e. Hard Coal (Wegiel kamienny) = Grey (second from the bottom)
Lignite or Brown Coal (Wegiel brunatny) = Brown (bottom)
