Polish Energy Policy Until 2050
Polish Energy Policy Until 2050 is discussed in the above article and is still at the draft stage.
Here's what I found as far as to what Poland's the power generation fuel mix will look like should Poland comply with the European Commission's requirements.
An excerpt from one of the appendixes to the Polish Energy Policy Until 2050 that can be found on the Polish Ministry Of Economy website. It's all in Polish.
An Excerpt;
Presentation of selected scenarios
(a) comply with the requirements of the European Commission Scenario)
Assumptions:
• the price of CO2 permits increases linearly with the level of EUR 5/t in 2020, reaching € 25/tonne in 2050 in the further period of simulation is kept price 25 EUR/t,
• the price of natural gas was adopted at the level of USD 350/1000 m3. In the scenario, there is no limit on the resources of gas,
• the share of RES in the installed capacity in 2030 is 23% and is maintained at this level in subsequent years.
• restriction imposed on the nuclear unit to build one unit of the EPR 1600 MW every two years, from 2025.
• model credit repayments units is decreasing instalments at the level of the WACC 8,05%, life time and pay the financial costs of the units is 40 years.
• physical constraint imposed scenario, reducing CO2 emissions in 2030 by 43% compared to 2005.
In accordance with the results of the scenario, meet the requirements of the EC limit CO2 emissions by 40%by 2030 will force significant changes in the system of power grid. It is a significant increase in the production of electricity from natural gas, which will involve the necessity of the expansion of the manufacturing infrastructure using this fuel. Substantially reduced the production of electricity from coal and lignite.
