Borrow money to for a share buyback ?
A buyback generally means the company has spare cash and the best thing it thinks it can do is buy its own shares, which just means it lacks the ability to do anything more positive with the cash.
Getting into debt just to prop up the share price seems really bizarre. In terms of corporate governance you should be really concerned if a board does it.
