The appointment of Allan MacTavish to the position of Exploration Manager, announced today and effective 1st of May 2007, is I believe quite positive. Formerly (currently?) employed with Metalcorp (TSX : mtc), MacTavish has extensive experience in the type of exploration Magma is currently undertaking in Canada.
Looking at the IP and VTEM surveys, it is not really surprising that drill holes 3 and 4 have been disappointing. Hole 5 is also likely to miss the target.
Hole 6 may change the trend. One must also wonder why no mention has been made of survey results pertaining to Beaver Lake.
