Already had my say on a previous post.Gotta be avocado. But it must target export to maximize on potential.Avocado crop is one of the most exacting of all agricultural enterprises in terms of climate and especially soil type that is why they are often expensive to buy.The avocado is an easy fruit to export since the fruit is picked hard green and takes around 7 days to ripen so is not as perishable as many other fruits.

Into the future nutritious food will be a premium and avo fits the bill being very nutrient dense. It has the highest protein content of any fruit  alongside high calorific value mostly as mono saturated healthy fat, as well as 20 vitamins and minerals, virtually the only fruit that forms a complete meal. There is a worldwide shortage which is only set to worsen as climate change globally affects yields.

I must confess an Ag Science background as a research horticulturist and professional tree fruit nurseryman so maybe somewhat biased!

    Good luck Pete
