I do own some Platinum Asia fund in my Super.
but also Fidelity Asia fund, which has performed far better, and charges lower fees.
as of end of July, net 12.3% p.a over the past 10 years after fees of 1.15% p.a ( no perform fee )
versus Platinum Asia net 8.7% p.a over past 10 yrs charging fees 1.35% p.a + a perform fee.
they also have Fidelity China and Fidelity India funds for anyone inclined, which have also well beaten their index benchmarks
    over the past 5 - 10 years.
    Fidelity China has returned net 13% p.a since inception in 2005 ( after fees of 1.21 % p.a )
IMO Fidelity is better resourced and capable ( far more analysts on the ground in Asian locations )
at managing Asian equities than Platinum, but Platinum will do better in bear markets due to their short selling.
    hence I own both.

country GDP figures bear little if any correlation to stockmarket company returns.
and these places are risky due to government interference and trustworthiness of numbers,
so only deserve a small portion of a portfolio.
