Dust - are you referring to Sister Helen Prejean? She was portrayed in the movie Dead Man Walking - a very powerful story which addresses these issues of capital punishment for heinous crimes, the 'debilitating' grief of losing a loved one to mindless violence, desire for revenge and percieved closure once the punishement is carried out. An incredibly powerful story - brilliantly scripted and acted.
nevertheless, I'm ok about capital punishment for certain proven crimes - I think people who are anti-life and who actively seek out to extinguish innocent lives do not deserve to be here.
