While Islam does not have a single holy day of the week (like Sunday in Christianity), Friday comes pretty close, being the day when the mosque is most frequented.
So I would think it unlikely that there would be an execution on a Friday .... but who knows, maybe to die for Islam on a Friday would be seen as a great tribute?
