    rabittou....sure in principle...

    But as you always do...things are a tad bit more complicated.

    The wazzani river flows into the Jordan and then enters Israel.

    Israel is against the Lebanese syphoning too much for that reduces the h2o available and increases the salinity downstream.

    Israel says its fine to take what the surrounding villages need but Lebanon says it can take "whatever it wants and however it please". Presumably this includes dams.

    Tough one but no different than that which troubles many regions of the world.

    But here's the tricky bit.

    Israel wants a treaty on the water rights.

    Normal stuff......right???

    Except Lebanon refuses to recognise Israel so there can be no treaty.

    Hence an impasse.

    See what I mean as to how things are complicated????
