My problem with Civ.lib. goes back along way
A 90 year old was raped in qld.
the police asked themale inhabitants of this small town(can't remember the name) to be dna sampled to quickly exclude the number of suspects.Nearly every male over a certain age did his civic duty, as they were as appaled as i, at this pathetic rape.
Civ.lib makes a national statement that it is against our 'civil liberties ' to be asked to do such, and ranted on..blah blah blah.I rang them and said..what about this 90 year old victim ....oh thats not our concern/interest was the reply....
so the locals wanted to just help the police focus on the right area by excluding them...and the civ.libs
again , in their ivory towers , showed aus. just what a fantasy legalistic world they live in.
