Short memories once again or is it short pants, Hitched. Surfers Paradise was built on a mosquito ridden swampland and it took many years and millions of dollars to change it....and that was in a wealthy country. It will take just as many years and dollars to bring the Bali facilities up to Surfers or Fiji. However the people are wonderful and money cannot buy that charm. The islands of Indonesia will be our Carribean in years to come, the Chinese will see to that. Once the Chinese become tourists, as were the Japanese, expect things to improve rapidly. If you haven't the patience then stay home.
