some points to make :
- pretty obvious Jokowi doesn't like "whiteys"
- Australia's megaphone diplomacy and media attention was the wrong approach...Australians generally don't understand gengsi and "face"
- Jokowi used the opportunity and media focus to draw attention away from events inside Indonesia
- I mentioned some weeks ago that IMHO as someone who lives here that a more productive approach would have been for an emissary of the Australian government to provide contacts of Megawati ( Jokowi's patron) with a written copies of a "dirt file" on her activities and those of her family and leave her to put the screws on Jokowi (clean hands for Australia)
- If Australia wants to send a message loud and clear but discreetly after the executions then provide the KPK and independent media in Indonesia(Tempo) with bucket loads of dirt on Jokowis' patrons - Megawati ,Surya Paloh and their families and quietly make substantial cuts ot the aid program
