I guess our politicians and diplomats may be speaking with forked tongues
re these Aussie executions:
- Protesting publicly and a wink and a nod privately-
I have never holidayed in Indonesia nor do I intend to do so.
There are many decent countries in the world to visit with
fair and humane laws. so why in my lifetime so why should I visit Bali
and deficit support an unacceptable regime?
I'll leave that to those who consider a cheap holiday as being everything.

One has to ask the question why we are in the Middle East fighting
for a fairer and just world when we have advocates of the death penalty
here for an offence of couriering 8 kgs of heroin among 9 Aussies.
Our legal system would dole out 10 years jail at most with 50%
reduction for good behaviour. Can we be that wrong?
It is difficult, IMO, to convince Muslims here that our laws and legal system is fair and just
and that Sharia Law including capital punishment for relatively minor offences
in not acceptable to Australians when some Aussies here advocate capital
punishment for this type of crime. Just think about it?
