At best - the markets will most likely need some time to recover and consolidate for a while now.

Don't listen to the news (or experts), and if you do - don't outright believe it (them), take a contrary view if possible, at least until that view is proven wrong.
Personally I find the the news, and experts, are fine when giving facts about something that has already happened, in hindsight.....but when they speculate into the future, they are roughly 80% wrong (often 'dead wrong'), and only 20% of the time 'roughly' right. The trouble is you won't know which it is until the event has happened and you look back in hindsight.
Best to make your own mind up, and in particular take a sceptical and contrary view of their speculations.
