I'm hearin ya Bris.
McLaren didn't sound too positive on the set up for the S&P 500 in his report of this evening (I'm completely relying on his analysis atm) so that pop up over the past few trading sessions in the US is probably the end of a counter trend up in a down trending market.
Most of my comfort in holding my short position has been drawn from the BHP ADR chart which looks great for a top with Wednesday's high on the NYSE.
So, the bigger picture is we have had a lower low last Friday and if yesterday is a high then we also have a lower high. That would be confirmation the stock is trending down. That part blind Freddy could figure out from basic trend analysis.
Hopefully I can do some work on some extensions of price over the weekend and get back on top of what is going now. A few day off the stock is like driving a car with no hands on the steering wheel. Not clever tranding.
